Ice Storm 2007
These are a few of the photos I took several weeks ago during a really heavy ice storm we were blessed with. We had ice everywhere for 3 full days. Roads were closed, parking lots full of truckers, grocery stores randomly empty of "every day things" like bread and milk. What was ironic, is we only get storms like this every 3rd winter or so. In the paper some were calling for the counties to buy such things like snow plows, and other heavy equipment that are for areas that get weeks of this kind of icy weather. Not only is that counter productive, its ludicrous and a waste of money. I can endure a few days of not being able to travel due to bad weather. So can others. At most the roads were closed 72 hours. And that is for the roads they were not able to put salts down on -- you know the ones that are so back country that most of those people only travel 1 or 2 days a week at most anyway.
